Aarhus, May 2022 - Danish tech company Workfeed is striving to become the global go-to scheduling system for SMBs. To maintain its steep growth curve and ambitious goals, the company is therefore wintering a number of experienced profiles along for the ride.

"We have a clear mission: all these companies should have access to a user-friendly scheduling system that enables employees and managers to thrive in and outside of work," says Rasmus Skovdal, CEO of Workfeed, about the company's motivation.

Since 2020, the company has managed to triple its revenue. With additional forces on board, Workfeed is further accelerating its growth journey and increasing its presence both in Denmark and in new markets - including Sweden, Finland, Germany and the Netherlands.

"Having experienced entrepreneurs like David Heinemeier Hansson and Heini Zachariassen by our side enables us to expand and benefit from their experience in the highly competitive SaaS space," Rasmus Skovdal emphasizes.

In demand on the international tech scene David Heinemeier Hansson has previously led international successes such as the project management tool Basecamp, which has Jeff Bezos among its owners. He therefore has the right know-how and experience that Workfeed will need when expanding into new markets and developing its product.

"Workfeed's product is of this age, unlike many of the old competitors in the industry, and it clearly comes through. It neither looks nor feels like an 'enterprise' product, but like a tool of the same caliber as the best we find for the modern consumer today. There is a unique opportunity to take a quantum leap when you start with a blank piece of paper, avoiding the mistakes and outdated technology choices of the past," says David Heinemeier Hansson about his latest investment in Workfeed.

A win for SMBs
The Workfeed app currently helps over 400 customers with its user-friendly platform and is rated as the best scheduling tool in Denmark according to Trustpilot. The founders believe that the recent success is mainly due to the huge time savings and increased flexibility that Workfeed can provide to the many industries suffering from hard times after shutdowns and repayments:

"Nearly 80% of SMEs with hourly employees currently use Excel or paper for scheduling, to the frustration of employees in particular. Our data and experience tell us that satisfaction and flexibility are among the main reasons why employees stay in the same job. Workfeed can help deliver on this," says Kristian Emil Larsen, CCO at Workfeed, and continues, "98% of companies using Workfeed experience increased employee satisfaction - and this is largely due to the flexibility we create."

David Heinemeier Hansson officially joined Workfeed's board in April 2022, which also includes Werner Valeur. Over the course of this year, they will help Workfeed with its growth ambitions and expansion into new markets.

"Workfeed is a darling investment where everything they do is by the book. That's why they can attract the best investors and deliver consistent, great growth month after month. It therefore comes as no surprise that both David Heinemeier and Heini Zachariassen have also invested," concludes Werner Valeur.
